Filmvisningar som sker vid allmänna sammankomster eller offentliga tillställningar såsom stadsfester, drive-in, events, inomhusvisningar, utomhusvisningar eller liknande, kräver särskilda rättigheter.

Att visa film utomhus är populärt sommar som vinter. Det är något speciellt med att sitta på picknickfilten eller i vinterlandskapet och se på film under stjärnorna, kanske med is som filmduk.
Drive-in började visas i USA redan på 30-talet och blir alltmer mer populärt i Sverige. Nu har vi till och med sail-in och bike in, eller varför inte snöskoter-in.
När ni önskar arrangera en filmfestival och vill visa flera filmer under en eller flera dagar behövs särskilda rättigheter, vilket Swedish Film kan ordna. Viktigt att tänka på inför en festival: minst tre av filmerna ska bokas via Swedish Film och festivalpass måste hämtas ut av samtliga festivalbesökare och arrangören åtar sig att upprätta en deltagarlista.

Swedish Film får visningsrättigheter till
Offentliga visningar och specialvisningar genom att ansöka om rättighetsinnehavarens tillstånd för den specifika filmvisningen. Därav kan förutsättningarna för filmvisningarna variera och pris lämnas för varje visning efter offertgivning.
*Enl. lagen (2010:1882) om åldersgränser för film som ska visas offentligt, slås bl.a. fast att filmer som ska visas för barn under 15 år vid allmän sammankomst eller offentlig tillställning måste vara godkända av Statens medieråd
