Marianne och Johan träffas (paret ur Scener ur ett äktenskap) åter efter många års tystnad. De har inte haft kontakt på mer än 30 år, men plötsligt känner Marianne ett behov av att få träffa sin före detta make. Hon bestämmer sig för att besöka Johan i hans hem i Dalarna.
